Closing Costs
Borrowers may pay customary and reasonable closing costs, subject to these limitations:
• Tax service fee not allowed.
• Origination fee may not exceed 1% (For loans originated prior to January 1, 2010).
• Third-party fees may not be “marked up”.
• Fees and charges must comply with all Federal, State and local regulations and predatory lending
rules.
• Effective with case numbers assigned on or after January 1, 2009, borrower-paid closing costs may
no longer be used to count as part of the borrower’s required investment
